Alan Deeter
Strategy Director
In his 20-year career, Alan has helped more than 60 companies attain category leadership by building meaningful brand relationships with their customers. His work spans the gamut from consumer products to Information Technology to heavy industry.
His agency experience includes such well known brands as Arthur Andersen, Checkfree, ChoicePoint, Conoco Phillips, Dell, Documentum, Emory University Hospital, Halliburton, Hewlett-Packard, McKesson Healthcare Management Software, Microsoft, and The Scooter Store.
Alan's work as a planner taught him to understand markets, categories and products from the point-of-view of consumer desires, motivations and behaviors. His early career was spent designing process workflows and user experiences for IT systems. This work helped him develop, from the start, the now modern opinion that user experience and brand are inseparable and must be addressed in concert to make a killer brand. This construct continues to direct his work on product strategy, category positioning and brand development for Dangerous Kitchen's clients.
One of the most experienced brand strategists working today, Alan has been hired to design and implement the strategy-development processes used by several leading agencies. His continued work designing conceptual frameworks and practical methods for solving demand-side business problems keeps him busy as a speaker, workshop facilitator and consultant.
